In 2018 we all took part in the national Christmas Jumper day, raising money for Save the Children charity. We had an afternoon tea in the office, and raised a respectful £130.00 – but we knew we could do better, and boy did we push the boat out last month.
For our Chrismas Jumper Day 2019, Kim and Georgina visited us to join in the fun, and we were delighted that our 2 newest members of the Exterior Plas team were able to be part of the festivities, and we welcome Reggie William Buckley, born 20th September, and Winter Brae Rawlins, born 26th November. Our love goes out to both Mummies, and we look forward to hearing how both babies progress.
This year we had a theme for our fundraising, and appointed Matt Riggs as our “Brucie” as we invited our 40 strong party to a generous buffet lunch, and to take part in “Play Your Cards Right”. It was tremendous fun, and as each player had to make a donation to the charity, it kept the money coming in as well as the laughter and frustration that the game brings. A special mention must to go Matt Riggs, “Brucie” who has had the most amazing 2019, managing to shed over 8 stone. He’s an total inspiration, and we felt that we had to share his success with the photos below.
And the total we raised? Well, we wanted to make sure we bettered last year, and we raised an amazing £420 for Save the Children. One of our organizers, Carol Burton said “the team work we have at Exterior Plas is exceptional, and this clearly demonstrated on days like this when we all come together and have fun, but are ever mindful that this is a charitable day. I would like to thank all of those that helped make it a success. As for Christmas 2020? Bigger and better again !
